Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DAUGHTER RAVEN ON HER 21ST !
Today I roasted  a two whole chickens with new red potatoes and chives. My eldest daughter  came for dinner with her boyfriend for the first time, which inspired me to roast the most succulent bird I've tasted  in a while,  I'm talking fall off the bone tender. The new potatoes with the chives were savory fork tender. My daughter and her boyfriend and the rest of the family enjoyed the dinner. I had my daughter and her boyfriend try the orzo salmon salad my daughter loved it her boyfriend was not a fan , "can't win them all" lo lo. This was my first time meeting him and think he is just awesome. We really enjoyed our time together but i thought he felt the same when he asked me for a second plate . It was a fabulous night

Left Overs Resurrected!

Well I did it,
I reconstructed the pan seared salmon from last night . I revamped it into a  orzo salad served warm or cold. Introducing fresh lemon zest and juice to bring out the flavor of the salmon. The corn and red roasted peppers brings a sweetness and textural contrast to the pasta and salmon. Let me know what you think especially if you recreate the same dish ,easy Wednesday night special.thought about it all day. I have already moved on now what and where will my taste take me tomorrow ? I guess you will just have to tune in tomorrow.

Welcome to my Palette Seduction!

How did I get here , my younger sister said to me last night as we watched the film Julie&Julia she said "you have a food, and cooking obsession like that  you should should start blogging  too " so here i am tonight. Well lets just say my mom is also  contributing factor to what the family now refers to as my cooking obsession.... As far as i can remember i have had always had this relationship with my food and the preparation of ingredients . My mom exposed my brother and i to international cooking which some of my friends found to be rather strange Caribbean background cooking Jewish, Italian, Chinese, Indian cuisine etc.... My background is of  Haitian  and Dominican heritage. I have developed such a deep appreciation and love for a wide range of cultural cuisine . Well let me see if  i can begin to introduce you to my world of cooking for passion. it begins with a craving for experimenting with a protein, fish/shell fish, vegetable, grain, and pasta .The joy and feedback from  people who taste my food. The look on there faces and watching them becoming a food critic as the describe everything i wanted them to feel as they partake in nearly all me food experiments to food lust. Today's inspiration was fresh salmon steak marinated in garlic, salt , pepper ,fresh lemon juice and a scotch bonnet pepper soaked in lemon juice then pan seared to perfection. A simple romaine lettuce, diced  red onion, and Roma tomatoes. I was trying to go a little light after all that holiday eating .I really try all my new twist to everyday foods and bring a international allure to embrace bringing  the palette towards the ultimate satisfaction.  Please stay tuned  for more food lusting adventures with yours truly .
